The Permanent Building Committee provides expertise, guidance and opinions to the administration on matters arising with regard to the design, construction and maintenance of town buildings.

Provides input through membership on relevant town committees, such as the School Building Committee, the new Library Construction Committee, the Design Review Board, and the Council on Aging.

Provides counsel with regard to additional planning activity at the School and Town Hall.

Advises on the painting of public buildings and supports efforts of the Historical Commission in town.

The Committee has no operating budget or guidelines, and is totally dependent on the skill, enthusiasm and willingness of its members to serve on other committees and address ad hoc inquiries for its effectiveness.
